This 5 Valve AC/DC Mains superhet table model was manufactured by Murphy in 1945 (Later in 1962 the Murphy company was taken over by Rank Bush). The bakelite cabinet designed by Eden Mins was considered to be very up to date at the end of WW2. This radio could receive and switch between the medium and the short wavebands.
