Manufactured by Murphy in 1946 this radio had quite an innovative slim-line cabinet design for its time. A baffle board was mounted inside to improve the sound quality. A strong metal back was also fitted incorporating a wall-mounting bracket. This radio had one of the most advanced designs and featured in a display of the Council of industrial designs ‘Britain can make it’ exhibition of 1946.
