This 7-transistor receiver manufactured by Bush was first introduced in 1959. Housed in a moulded Plastic case it was able to tune both the Medium and Long wavebands. An internal ferrite rod aerial was fitted to aid reception plus an external aerial socket on the back of the set for car use. A single 9Volt (PP9) dry cell battery fitted inside the case was needed to power the set.
The nostalgic iconic design of this set proved so popular that 50 years later a modern DAB version with internal solid state circuitry was produced.
