Manufactured by PYE in 1968 this eight transistor radio was housed in a Rexine covered wooden cabinet with silver trims. Printed circuit board technology was employed to mount most of the components. A separate internal compartment was provided to house 2x 9volt PP9 batteries used to power the set. An internal ferrite rod aerial was fitted for portable signal reception also an additional external aerial socket was provided for car use.

This radio featured 2 reception wavebands medium and long wave selected by means of push buttons on the radio’s top. A turntable fitted to the bottom allowed the set to be turned for maximum reception of directional signals.
