Manufactured by Pye under the Pam brand name this 4-valve radio was first introduced in 1958. The wooden case is covered in a dark walnut veneer with a gold edge front trim. The right hand control knob is used to select between the medium waveband and VHF. The left-hand control knob selects both on/off and the volume level. A large clear plastic tuning control knob also indicates station position references.

An internal ferrite rod aerial is fitted for reception of local stations. On the cabinet back a socket is provided for connection of a gram pick-up. This receiver has undergone a complete restoration in our museum workshop and is now in full working order.
