GEC LTD manufactured this 4 valve portable radio in 1952. The suitcase style wooden cabinet is covered with a blue simulated snake skin plastic material. This radio featured 2 reception wavebands medium and long wave selected by means of a rotary switch. A frame aerial is fitted inside the lid to enable reception of local stations. Two batteries were required to power this set when it was not connected to the mains supply.

The retail-selling price for this model was £13.19s.6d plus purchase tax.
